Climate change is a direct result of the excesses of Western capitalism.

Discussion:

The Equityists believe that if it was not for the productivity and excesses of Western capitalism, we would not be experiencing the climate change of increasing temperatures around the world.

It is true that capitalism has played a role in the problem of climate change by increasing the prosperity of practically everyone on the planet compared to the past, but choosing to get rid of capitalism in order to go back to severe deprivation and starvation is a terrible idea. 

We have the capability today to use technology to solve the climate crisis but that is not what the Equity believers want to do. Instead of supporting technologies and policies that would make an impact, the Equityists spend their time talking about how terrible rich people are. 

Although the religion of Equity claims to greatly care about people, in reality, it is only concerned about groups, not people. Despite its pontificating, it actually doesn’t care if people live better lives. All it wants to do is use the climate change issue as a club to attack Western capitalism.
