Cultural Appropriation

Common meaning:

When members of one culture adopt the elements of another culture.

Hidden meaning of the Equity religion:

When members of a dominant culture use elements of a minority culture.

Discussion:

Since Equity teaches that only groups exist, not individuals or humanity, only members of a group can demonstrate characteristics or ideas of that group. If a member of a dominant group uses any element from a minoritized group, that is considered exploitation.

Some religions, like Christianity, celebrate our humanity; they break down differences between different people groups and different cultures. In the Bible, Paul talks about the fact that in Christ or in Christianity there is no more Jew or gentile, that we are all one in Christ. This sentiment demonstrates a Christian belief in a common humanity.

Equity hates humanity to such an extent that it doesn’t want to allow any member of a cultural group to participate in anything that any other cultural group is doing. It wants to restrict each of us to our own groups under the guise that it’s protecting some people from hurt or shame, but what is really happening is we are being locked into cultural prisons.

Cultural appropriation is the Equity believers’ way of showing their hatred toward the common humanity of us all.
