Evaluation

Common meaning:

Appraising the value of something.

Hidden meaning of the Equity religion:

Oppressive construct that results in a biased advantage for the dominant group.

Discussion:

The Equity believers say that evaluation is an oppressive construct that works against the marginalized and for the benefit of the dominant group.

Followers of Equity believe that it’s impossible to make an evaluation that is fair for everyone. Part of the reason for this is that it doesn’t believe in universal truth, but only in truth which comes from a group. Expecting a person in an oppressed group to know knowledge that’s coming from an oppressive group is wrong. In their minds, we are better off getting rid of the standard evaluation entirely, than expecting members of minoritized groups to parrot back the knowledge of the dominant ones.

Although the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) has demonstrated validity, the religious Equityists hate it because it tells the truth about individuals. This is not acceptable when your goal is to give advantages to groups that you like.

One of the fastest ways to generate conflict between people is to use dishonest weights, and this is exactly what the religion of Equity is trying to do.
