Hidden meaning of the Equity religion: 

When members of marginalized groups fail to understand how they are being oppressed.

Discussion:

The Equityists consider anyone who lives in the West and is part of a minoritized group, but does not think they are oppressed, to be living a lie. They have absorbed the dominant narrative and fail to see how much they are actually being victimized.

When people who are members of oppressed groups have not yet converted to the Equity faith, they are considered by believers to have false consciousness. They have internalized the oppression of the dominant group and are damaging themselves and all other members of the oppressed group. They believe the lie that we should treat all people fairly and justly.

From the perspective of Equity believers, people who have false consciousness are even more dangerous than people who are part of the dominant group. This is why when a person from an oppressed group speaks against Equity they are attacked violently.

In this religion, you are either a believer or an evil heathen. There is no middle ground.
