Equity says that the family, as the basic social unit of a society, needs to be eliminated. This will prevent the handing down of dominant values within the family group and also reduce the number of humans on the planet.

It is important to pause for a moment and think about the fact that this religion, unlike almost every other religion, has as one of its goals, the elimination of the family unit.

The religion of Rousseau, in all of its various forms, has never been overly concerned about the reduction in the human population by starvation and other means. Our reliance on technology is seen as problematic and a long-term reduction in population size is considered ideal. The family is problematic because it is both a way to maintain the current population, and a mechanism to perpetuate current dominant ideas.

The Equityists completely agree with Rousseau regarding the family and that should scare every one of us.
