Ability of an individual to choose between two or more options without being constrained by others.

Hidden meaning of the Equity religion: 

An illusion of liberalism that keeps people in bondage.

Discussion:

The Equityists believe that freedom of choice is a lie created by oppressor groups in an attempt to keep the oppressed in bondage. Individuals cannot choose between options because the ability to do this is an illusion created by Liberalism. 

Liberalism declares that we should all have freedom of choice and that if we have this it will be good for us as individuals and for society as a whole.  Liberal Western societies value freedom of choice and try to maximize it for everyone. 

The Equityists disagree with this value and believe that individuals should not be free to choose things, because they will always choose the wrong things. The reason for this is that the powerful interests of the dominant group will assert themselves and that will result in oppression.

Arguing that people should not be free. How could this ever go wrong?
