Equity believers have already accepted by faith that the oppressor vs. oppressed dynamic is the only thing that is real.

The advantage of this faith approach is believers don’t need to look at any record of past events because they already know what happened. Now it is only a matter of finding evidence to support their belief.

We can think of Equity like a biased police detective. There have been many times where a detective investigating a crime has decided, without any evidence, that a particular person was guilty. They then spent all of their energy trying to find evidence that supported their belief and frequently have managed to put innocent people in prison. Equity is like that detective, and its followers will look for oppression for as long as it takes because their belief says it must exist.

As much as possible, history should be based on evidence, not a particular religious faith.
