Members of Equity think that the only people who actually know things are victims from oppressed groups. All real knowledge occurs via the process of being oppressed.

One of the tactics used by the leaders of the religious cult of Equity to keep adherents in line is limiting any outside voices that could provide perspective. By pushing the narrative that only the knowledge of victims is real, you provide a tool to believers that allows them to dismiss any opinions that come from outside the movement, without needing to think.

One of the things you start to see as a subject area begins to be infected by the Equity virus, is that the knowledge that has been built up in that area, typically over centuries, begins to be eroded away. This makes sense when we understand that the Equityists only consider knowledge that is generated by oppressed people to be real.
