To view a health problem only in medical terms and implement a medical solution which may or may not help the patient. 

Hidden meaning of the Equity religion: 

To view healing people using Western medical knowledge as problematic and oppressive.

Discussion:

The Equityists believe that the Western tendency to default to advanced medical knowledge when dealing with people who are sick, is problematic. We need to view people holistically, not simply from the reductionist perspective of the oppressive West.

According to Equity, any group that has power over another group is problematic. It follows that the medical community is oppressive and needs to be reeducated regarding its treatment of people in the minoritized sick group. 

The term medicalizing demonstrates the bad attitude the Equityists have toward Western medicine, when they declare that using medical knowledge to heal people is problematic and oppressive.

I guess we are just going to forget about the millions of people that Western medicine has saved.
