Often, those with a liberal mindset assume the people they’re arguing with have a belief system that squares with reality and that their opponents are trying to build something good. Equity is a religion that, although it makes sense within its own structure, does not square with reality and is all about destroying things. It wants to destroy motherhood, so the easiest way to go about it is to get rid of the word mother entirely and replace it with the words birthing person.
