Common meaning:
Presenting information in the form of a story.
Hidden meaning of the Equity religion:
Stories are oppressive when used by the dominant, but stories are the only real truth that exists when used by the marginalized.
Discussion:
Equity believes that any stories told by someone from a dominant group are false and oppressive, but stories are always true when a person from a marginalized group tells them.
Religions like Christianity are very concerned about what is true, but as a virus religion, Equity doesn’t care about what’s true because it doesn’t think we can find objective truth. It focuses on subjective narratives and only considers the stories of the oppressed as having any validity.
In the real world, the truth never belongs one hundred percent to any particular group. Some stories may be more valid than others, but every story must be carefully evaluated for bias and deception. Believing things on the basis of group membership, instead of logic and reason is a terrible idea.
Even the idea that people who suffer gain a greater ability to understand what is true is problematic. There are many who, when they suffer, become bitter and vengeful causing their judgement to become clouded with hate which does not lead to insight, but to blindness.
