An idea that is impossible to achieve and that is used by the powerful to marginalize other ways of knowing. 

Discussion:

Followers of Equity don’t believe it’s possible for someone from a dominant group to be objective. They are not able to achieve objectivity because the hidden narrative of their dominant group is too strong. 

The Equityists think it is impossible for a society that is being controlled by dominant groups to have any objectivity, but followers of Liberalism disagree. Liberalism says that although it can be challenging to be objective, a measure of objectivity can be achieved that is based on our common humanity. 

The Equityists also say the oppressors use the concept of objectivity to prevent knowledge of the marginalized from being heard. The truth of this claim could be quickly evaluated if evidence was provided, but because the Equityists have none, they just double down on the accusation.  

Objectivity is both good and possible.
