Common meaning:
Where you stand in the world based on the groups you are a part of.
Hidden meaning of the Equity religion:
Ritual used by Equity believers where they name the privileged groups they are a part of and repent for the sins the group has committed.
Discussion:
The Equityists think that what groups you are a part of has a direct impact on the words you speak. This is why it is so critical to tell people what groups you belong to.
Before an Equity believer speaks, the religion requires that they name all of the problematic groups they are a part of, in a ritual called positionality. They are also required to repent and say they are sorry for the sins their groups have committed.
Some religions, like Christianity, require believers to engage in penance or confessing sin to a priest in order to receive forgiveness for personal sin. Equity requires all of its believers to engage in penance, not only for personal sin but more particularly for the sins of the groups of which they are a part. The problem is they have to be constantly repenting, but there is no point at which they will ever receive forgiveness.
The belief that your position in different groups matters, regarding the argument you are presenting, is a logical fallacy and just wrong.
