Discussion:

The Equityists believe that groups experience trauma and that it gets passed down to future generations. This means if a group has experienced slavery, that harm will be felt by any descendants of the group. 

Equity believes in groups and only in groups. They are so powerful that if one member of a group experiences something, then all members of that group have experienced the same thing. Not only this, but that experience can be transferred down through time from individuals in the past to individuals in the present who are members of the same group.

It is true that some parents may damage their children because of the pain they endured, but there is no way for group trauma to be passed down through the generations, and indulging in magical thinking that this is possible, is a problem.

We cannot experience the pain of others, only our own.
