The Equityists believe that colonialism did not die when former colonies became independent nations. It only switched from physical occupation to economic slavery, under a new global, capitalist system.

Colonialism, like everything the Equityists critically evaluate, compares the well-being of people in former colonies, not to how things were in the past, but to a totally unrealistic ideal of perfection. Certainly there are significant issues with global capitalism, but the amazing improvements in the lives of ordinary people under this system must not be ignored.

The Equityists also believe that all of the conflict in the world today is a result of colonialism, either as a remnant of the previous physical colonial system and/or the current system of oppression under capitalist colonialism.

To swallow this lie takes an amazing amount of faith. Even a cursory glance at history shows that conflict and war have been a constant part of human existence for as long as we have been walking around.

Blaming colonialism for our hatred for other tribes borders on the pathological.
