Hidden meaning of the Equity religion: 

Power is the only thing that really matters and it is used by privileged groups to control and harm minoritized ones.

Discussion:

Equity says that privileged groups use power to control and harm minoritized groups. The Western system is only benefiting the powerful as they rob and harm the oppressed. 

From the Equityist perspective, power is never used to do anything good. It is only used by privileged groups to harm minoritized ones.

In the real world, power is used for many things, most of them good and some bad. It is necessary to use power in order to coordinate groups of people. Someone has to lead the way and power provides a mechanism to insure that things get done.

Unlike what the Equityists believe, power is not a free license to force other people to do what you want. Power contains an element of responsibility that requires those using it to do their best to benefit us all. When power is being used inappropriately we need to speak up and take a stand against it, but throwing out the entire concept of power is a disaster waiting to happen.

Proper use of power benefits us all.
