The Equityists believe that recreation is created by the capitalist oppressors to distract the oppressed. Their victims will be so enraptured by trivial entertainment, they will never engage in real social change.

The Equity believers think that games are not something we do to have fun or to interact with others, but that they are primarily distractions to keep us from understanding the truth about our lives. Real change can only take place when we stop being entertained and start getting angry.

In reality, the main reasons we participate in recreational activities is to measure ourselves against others, socialize and exercise. We get a thrill as humans when we manage to beat another team. We enjoy interacting with people who like to participate in the same activities that we do and we like how exercise helps keep us fit.

Equity cannot help making everything about power, including when we just want to have a little fun.
