Common meaning:
A place where people will not feel they are in danger.
Hidden meaning of the Equity religion:
A place where ideas and people from dominant groups are excluded.
Discussion:
The Equity believers proclaim that the marginalized are experiencing overwhelming trauma everyday as they deal with the damage spewing forth from a dominant and oppressive society.
Equity teaches that the current Western system is completely corrupt and oppressive. Because of this, people in marginalized groups need a break from the hate they are experiencing every day. A safe or brave space is needed where oppressive ideas and dominant people are excluded from entering. This is yet another example of the Equityists declaring one thing but doing another: Saying everyone is included but then immediately excluding people.
In the first few years of life, it is important for young apple trees to experience some drought so that their roots go deep. As humans, we also need to face difficult circumstances in order for us to become stronger. Limiting ourselves to ideas that we already know or are comfortable with, stunts our individual intellectual development and causes us to become fragile.
Struggle makes us stronger, not coddling.
