The Equityists believe we need to get back to simpler times and that technology causes people to become disconnected with nature and themselves.

Equity is dead set against all Western technology, no matter how beneficial it is. They believe sustainable energy systems are a problem, even though they appear good, because they have been created by and are a part of an oppressive system.

As much as many of the Equityists complain about the overproduction in the Western system and the carbon dioxide pollution which is causing climate change, the only solution they provide is to cut back. They refuse to take the avenue of technological invention to reduce greenhouse gases, because they perceive technology to be bad.

We have technologies that will help us stop climate change now, if we choose to use them.
