White people are privileged to be able to ignore the systemically racist system that is the Western world.

Discussion:

Equity declares that one of the ways white people are privileged is they don’t have to think about the color of their skin. It claims they can be ignorant of the fact that the Western world is systemically racist and this is something that people of colour cannot do.

This is a complete and total lie. There was a time over half a century ago when white people didn’t have to think much about race, but those times are long gone. Starting in the 1960’s, race became a huge issue and it has never gone away. The level of ignorance you have to have to believe in the phrase “white ignorance” is practically beyond belief.

There are times, and this is one of them, when things are simply not true. It’s not ignorance to say that people don’t live on clouds. No matter how many times someone claims that those who don’t believe in cloud people are cloud ignorant or cloud phobic doesn’t make it true. People simply don’t magically live on water vapour in the sky.

White ignorance is an illusion created by Equity believers.
